MERRIMENT ON A ROLL IN MECHANICVILLE.(CAPITAL REGION)

Mechanicville It was time for trash talk on the ball court Sunday, but there was none of that NBA-style, in-your-face banter.

For this wasn't basketball at Madison Square Garden, but boccie ball at Tallmadge Park, a highlight of the city's 21st annual Family Day in the Park celebration.

The ``dirty talk,'' as tournament organizer Greg Mansfield referred to it, consisted of comments no more harsh than ``You can't make that shot'' or ``Watch out, the wind is changing'' or ``Carve 'em up, Pauli.''
